If anything, it’s the cis bigots who should justify themselves. How can they justify claiming that science is on their side, when it clearly isn’t? How can they justify telling us, to our faces, that we don’t exist? How can they justify not showing us basic respect? How can they lie about us, lie to us, beat us, rape us, destroy us, and then turn right around and accuse us of doing the same things to them?
