and it just now hit me how much money that is!!!

in ontario if you’re working full time at minimum wage that’s over three thousand…

it’s three grand in ontario because of the ridiculous cost of living (primarily rent) in toronto and the GTA. you can easily spend $700 a month on a one bedroom apartment. and full-time jobs are also hard to come by here; two of my sisters work jobs at about thirty hours a week that were advertised as full-time. the other sister pays over $1000 a month for a two bedroom for her and her fiance, and it’s not even downtown.

…well, that certainly would explain it. I shoulda guessed. Thanks for the info.
